MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music is one of the biggest within his part of the Latin mainstream. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 received a Colombian Kids Choice Award as the most popular Song for the year 2017. The year 2017 saw the release of ADN, his first long-player with La Industria Inc. in Medellin. The album peaked at the rank of eight on the Top Latin Albums charts. He then became part of Ozuna on their Top Five smash Vaina Loca. He collaborated together with Noriel in the song Mala Influencia in the year 2020, and in the year following, he came out with his second album, the charting Dopamina. Later, in 2021, he sang a duet in 2021 along with TINI for her smash hit Maldita Foto. In 2023, 2000 with the smash hit La Bachata was released. Turizo was brought up in a musical environment, since both his mom and younger brother are musicians. He has said in interviews that music is compulsory. When he was a kid, he began learning to play the saxophone and ukulele and piano. The first goal was to be an vet but when his brother Julian convinced to him take lessons with an Cuban singer, he altered his career plans.
